Active cases of COVID-19 below 2 thousand as four more deaths reported

By Aaron Humes: Belize enters this weekend with fewer than 2 thousand active COVID-19 cases for the first time since September 28, when the figure stood at 2,102.

150 new cases were reported today against 255 recoveries for a net fall of 105, leaving the total of active cases at 1,911, with a further 343 samples under investigation.

Belize’s case recovery rate is 91.4 percent, 26,418 recovered against 28,899 total cases.

Four new deaths were reported countrywide, for a total of 534 and 39 in the first two weeks of November.

35 persons are hospitalized with the virus and 14 are in intensive care.
