Belmopan City Council prepares to launch cleanup campaign this weekend

By Benjamin Flowers: The Belmopan City Council is hosting a cleanup campaign this weekend.

The campaign is being done in collaboration with the Belize Mayors’ Association and starts on Saturday, November 13, 2021.

Cleanups will begin in the areas of Central Site, Site 7, and University Heights in Belmopan City.

“During this campaign, the City Council will be informing residents that it is a ticketable offense to place debris on the buffers.” the Council said.

As part of the cleanup campaign, the Council informs residents that they can contact private providers for removal service or contact the City Council who will provide debris removal service at a fee, starting December 1, 2021.
