Number of hospitalizations and persons in intensive care inch up again

By Aaron Humes: There has been a slight increase once again in the number of hospitalizations from COVID-19 and persons in intensive care according to Ministry of Health and Wellness data.

35 persons have been hospitalized, up from 33 on Thursday. The numbers by vaccination status remain much the same – 23 unvaccinated, 11 fully vaccinated and one partially vaccinated.

Of those 14 in the ICU, up from 13 on Thursday, all save three are unvaccinated while the others are fully vaccinated but likely suffering from comorbidities.
