10 more deaths from COVID-19 over weekend but active cases continue to fall

By Aaron Humes: The number of active cases of COVID-19 continues to fall per Ministry of Health and Wellness data.

1,784 persons are actively infected with the virus after a net reduction of 123 over the weekend. A further 166 samples are under investigation.

The number of hospitalizations from COVID-19 and persons in intensive care has fallen back after increases last week.

However, ten new deaths were reported over the weekend, increasing the monthly death toll to 49.
