Belize Weather: Week starts with cloudy skies, wet weather

The National Meteorological Service says the unstable weather conditions continue, with cloudy skies today, light rain and showers, and thunderstorms over the south. Tonight it will be cloudy at times with showers or thunderstorms mainly along the coast.

High temperatures today are 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 86 degrees inland, and 72 degrees in the hills. Tonight it will be 72 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 68 degrees inland, and 63 degrees in the hills.

Winds are north to northeast at 5 to 15 knots and the sea state is choppy. A small craft caution is in effect for possible gusty winds and rough seas near thunderstorms.

Tides will be low at 1:37 this afternoon then high at 7:43 this evening. The sun sets at 5:16 this evening and rises at 5:57 Tuesday morning.

For Tuesday expect cloudy skies and showers or thunderstorms along the coast and in the North.
