By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Health and Wellness’ (MOHW) reported on Tuesday morning that 208,168 persons in Belize have now received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
The MOHW COVID-19 Vaccination Report for Monday, November 15, 190,031 persons have been fully vaccinated in Belize.
In total, 1,136 persons 18 and older were vaccinated since the previous report.
Up to November 15, a total of 28,735 persons between 12 – 17 years of age have been vaccinated with Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines.
The MOHW is presently vaccinating with AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccines. The MOHW also said it has more than 370,000 vials of vaccines on hand, primarily Pfizer and AstraZeneca.
At this point, Cabinet continues to encourage booster shots for all health care workers, persons 60 years and older, and persons with comorbidities.
