By Rubén Morales Iglesias: “Our strong democracy creates the best environment for investor stability”, said Mesopotamia Representative Shyne Barrow as he addressed the 6th Annual Florida International Trade and Cultural Expo in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Speaking at the ‘Doing Business with World: the Caribbean’ segment, Barrow couldn’t help plugging the United Democratic Party saying that “while Belize is always better under the UDP, investors can have confidence that there is stability and security in their investments”.
“Countries from all over the world are here with former Presidents, Ministers of Governments, Reps from the State Department, Commerce and local Elected Officials are all in attendance to network and increase our Nations net worth,” Barrow said.
Former presidents of Costa Rica, Bolivia, Guatemala, Uruguay, Bolivia, Ecuador had confirmed their participation as well as Nigeria’s Labour Minister Festus Keyamo.
Barrow also spoke of Belize’s rich diverse cultures highlighting the Garifuna and Maya people among our indigenous treasures.
“Our Maya temples, lush jungles, our blue hole, barrier reef, pristine waters and beaches, our great food and greater people,’ are just some of what Belize has to offer said Barrow.
He also spoke of the tourism industry, real estate development, agriculture export, Marijuana/hemp industry, call centers and manufacturing plants as sectors that have great potential for investors.
Barrow said he also spoke of the Opposition’s commitment to eradicate corruption “which erodes investor confidence and stagnates national development”.
He closed off saying that “EVERYTHING IS BETTER IN BELIZE!!!”
