Posted: Wednesday, November 17, 2021. 4:55 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: A 30-year-old woman from the Cayo district was the victim of an armed robbery this week.

The victim was walking on a street in the Bradley’s Bank Area, Santa Elena Town, when a man on a bicycle approached her and pointed a gun at her, demanding her purse. Fearing for her life, the victim surrendered the purse containing her identification cards, banks cards, and around $550 in cash.

The culprit rode off, but after putting some distance between them, he turned back, approached her again, and demanded that she hand over her cellphone, which she did.

Police are investigating the incident.
