Two Mennonites succumb to injuries sustained in traffic accident, Penner family mourns

By BBN Staff:  On November 10, eight members of the Penner family were involved in a traffic accident on the George Price Highway. While no one died at the scene, two members of the family have since died from injuries sustained in the accident.

The accident occurred between Miles 12-13 sometime after 4:00 p.m. on November 10, leaving the van that the family was traveling in completely destroyed. 

After being in critical condition for days, Andrew Penner died on the evening of Sunday, November 14, while Martha Penner died on the morning of Monday, November 15.

The van involved in the accident was returning from the PSW International Airport after picking up members of the Penner family that had just arrived in Belize.
