BREAKING: Double murder in San Ignacio – mother and daughter killed

By BBN Staff: Breaking Belize News (BBN) has confirmed that a double murder occurred on Sunday night in the Santiago Juan Layout area, San Ignacio.

The first victim is the daughter of the family and she was found at the family’s resident with her throat slashed. She was rushed to the San Ignacio hospital for treatment but died shortly after arrival.

Police are currently at the crime scene and the body of the mother is expected to be transported shortly to the San Ignacio hospital.

The names of the victims are not yet known.

This is a developing story, but police sources say that they are looking for a male suspect who is believed to have inflicted the fatal wounds on the victims.
