Decomposed body found in Spanish Lookout

By BBN Staff: Police are trying to determine the identity of a John Doe, whose body was found in the Belize River in Spanish Lookout yesterday.

Officers responded to a call around 3:30 p.m. to find the decomposed body of a man, which was hooked onto a bamboo tree in the river.

The body was shirtless but had on red short pants and a pair of Nike shoes.

Police are awaiting the results of a post mortem examination as a part of an ongoing investigation.
