“My phone is blowing up” says Destiny Wagner, Miss Earth 2021, as congratulations pour in

By Hugh O’Brien: Breaking Belize News (BBN) broke the story late last night, her fans began to flock social media in the wee hours of Sunday morning and the official congratulations poured in from the Government of Belize, Belize Tourism Board, Shyne Barrow and many others as Destiny Wagner became the first Belizean to win a major pageant.

In extending congratulations the Belize City Council thanked Destiny Wagner “for bringing home the first Miss Earth title to Belize!” Opposition Area Representative for Mesopotamia, Shyne Barrow, best represented the sentiments of most Belizeans when he wrote “The country is proud and all of us should be inspired that there is absolutely nothing we cannot accomplish with hard work, conviction and big dreams that push the boundaries of possibility! Your success on the world stage is all of our success and we celebrate you!”

From last night it was clear that Destiny was overwhelmed with bringing the first crown home to the ‘Jewel’. I can’t sleep. ..to see Belize trending internationally. Heart is so full. I love you my sweet Belize!”

As the day progressed it was more congratulations pouring in for Destiny on this historic moment. With much pride and humility she wrote “Thank you all for the kind messages and mentions. My phone is blowing up so I apologize in advance if I am unable to get to your messages. The next couple of days for me will be extremely busy so please bear with me.”

And in the true style of a champion, Destiny had nothing to hide from Belizeans and her fans in general. On social media, she proudly revealed that she was born March 8th, 1996 and is 25 years old.
