Deaths in five of six districts from COVID-19 over the holiday weekend

By Aaron Humes: Four men and two women joined the ranks of the dead from COVID-19 in the holiday weekend.

Two were from the Toledo District and one each from Corozal, Orange Walk, Belize, and Cayo Districts.

Three of the six were unvaccinated, one partially so and two fully so.

The total national death toll is 564. 71 deaths from COVID-19 have now been reported in November and 204 total since September 1.

By age group, 25 of the deaths since September are under the age of 40, while the most affected age group are the septuagenarians – those in their 70s – with 38 deaths.
