Man accused of killing 17- year-old Cameron Hernandez arraigned in Belize City

By BBN Staff: On Monday, 26-year-old Shaquille Brian Perrera, who stands accused of the murder of 17- year-old Cameron Hernandez, was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court.

Perrera appeared before Chief Magistrate Sharon Fraser to be read a single charge of murder. In court, no plea was taken from Perrera who was unrepresented and due to the nature of the offense, he was denied bail and remanded to the Belize Central Prison until January 24, 2022.

Reports are that he managed to identify his attacker to police before he died of his injuries.
