Brian Castillo officially charged for murder of his common-law wife and stepdaughter

By BBN Staff: After being on the run since Sunday, Brian Castillo has been formally arrested and charged for the murder of his common-law wife and stepdaughter.

Police say that Castillo was charged today with two counts of murder with respect to Mischell Archila and Nitzia Solange Catzim, committed on the night of November 21.

Castillo reportedly stabbed both his victims, killing Archilla on the spot while Catzim died later receiving medical treatment. He then picked up his 7-year-old son and fled to Guatemala, where he was captured yesterday.

Police have also located the knife believed to be the murder weapon in the incident.
