P.M. convenes first meeting of Social Partnership Committee

By Aaron Humes: Prime Minister John Briceño and his Ministerial Consultative Team (MCT) have met for the first time with the Social Partnership Committee (SPC) formulated in the midst of the teachers and public officers’ strike earlier this year.

They reviewed Government’s performance for the past six months, the P.M. informed Cabinet, in partial fulfillment of the May 18 commitment to the joint unions.

The MCT briefed the group on the state of Government finances, discussed the implementation of #planbelize on good governance, and set terms of reference for future meetings including the SPC meeting every two years.
