Uphatter funding campaign launched to help Belizean cancer patient

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: An Uphatter funding campaign has been launched to help Belizean cancer patient Rudy Melendez.

“My husband, Rudy Melendez, was diagnosed with gastric adenocarcinoma in August 2021,” said Yesenia Marroquin, Melendez’s wife who started the Uphatter campaign on November 23.

“He was referred to seek medical treatment in Guatemala. I am in need of financial assistance for him to get through with his treatment. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.”

Marroquin says the goal is to raise $30,000.
