Number of new COVID-19 cases below 100; active cases below 1,200

By Aaron Humes: Just 93 new cases of COVID-19 were reported over the last 24 hours, a level not seen in months.

There was a net loss of 53 cases in recovery, taking the active case total to 1,162 with 283 samples under investigation.

The daily positivity rate is just under 7 percent.

One new death was reported, while the number of hospitalizations increased overnight.

Belize has now had 30,060 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 28,292 recoveries, with 570 dead.
