Veteran radio personality Armin Arana needs urgent blood donation

By Benjamin Flowers: There is an ongoing appeal for urgent blood donations for popular radio personality Armin Arana.

Arana, who has been in broadcast media for 15 years is Blood Type A+ (Positive) though O+(Positive) donations are also being accepted for replacements.

Anyone wishing to assist can do so by going to any blood collection center countrywide and indicating that the donation is for Armin Arana.

After making the donation, donors are asked to have the physical donation slip dropped off at Love FM on Slaughterhouse Road, Belize City.

As part of the regulations concerning blood donation, those who are under the age of 18 cannot donate. Other hopeful donors who have had a tattoo in the last year, and those with conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or active infection are also unable to make a donation. Donors are asked to eat a full meal before donation and wait at least 48 hours after consuming alcohol.

Persons who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 are asked to wait at least three months before making a blood donation.
