Jewel Fury double up 2-1 on Rumberas in the National Amateur Women’s League South

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Jewel Fury defeated Bella Vista’s Rumberas 2-1 in the National Amateur Women’s League South group on Sunday at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan.

Jayda Brown hit the opener in the 22nd for Jewel Fury but Roshanny Narvaez tied it in the very next minute for the Rumberas.

Janivi Quiroz gave Fury the victory with her 58th-minute goal.

At the Carl Ramos Stadium in Dangriga, the visiting Sagitun Girlz downed Kulcha United 1-0 on a 71st-minute goal by Reah Burgess.

On Saturday, The Stann Creek Hyper Jewels edged Hyper Phoenix 1-0 at the Carl Ramos as well. The Hyper Jewels were able to hold on to the 1-0 score after Shadette Lino converted in the 11th minute.
