COVID-19 decline continues but four new deaths reported over weekend

By Aaron Humes: There continues to be a net decrease in active COVID-19 cases per Ministry of Health and Wellness data.

Over the past weekend, the country recorded 173 new cases and 225 new recoveries for a net decrease of 52 active cases, leaving the overall figure at 1,082 with 124 samples under investigation.

The number of hospitalizations from COVID-19 is down but there were four new deaths reported over the weekend.

Belize is back up to nearly 95 percent of the population recovered as the country enters a critical period, the Christmas season.
