Benjamin Flowers: The Government of Belize has announced that Belizean students studying abroad who are coming home for the holidays will get their COVID-19 tests free of charge.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness issued a notice this afternoon following a decision taken by Cabinet, that the initiative came into effect on December 1 and will run for the entire month of December.

“The Ministry of Health & Wellness urges the public to get vaccinated, including the booster dose against COVID-19 and reiterates that this is the best defense against COVID-19 and its emerging variants. Vaccines are available at all health facilities,” the MOHW said.

The ministry asked that the people continue to practice proper mask-wearing, physical distancing, and adhering to all other protocols in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
