Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 continue to fall – now below 20 patients

By Benjamin Flowers: Having spiked over the last month and a half, hospitalizations due to COVID-19 have steadily been declining, with the latest count being below 20 patients.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness reports that there are currently 17 patients hospitalized due to the virus, nine of whom are receiving critical care in an intensive care unit.

Subdivided by vaccination status, 10 of the hospitalized patients are unvaccinated, with the remaining seven being fully vaccinated.

Four of the patients in the Intensive Care Unit are fully vaccinated, and the other five are unvaccinated.

The Ministry also reported that 87 more patients recovered from infection.
