More than 20 police officers complete special training on handling crime scenes

By BBN Staff: The Belize Police Department held a ceremony today honoring 21 police officers who successfully completed a special training course on crime scene response.

The one-week “First Responder to Crime Scene course” was sponsored by the United States Embassy and done in collaboration with personnel from the Police Training School in Belmopan. Today the officers received their certificates from Commissioner of Police Chester Williams, along with representatives from the US Embassy.

The Department said that the course was, “very important in building capacity for our police officers who are the first responders when responding to crime scenes,” following the ceremony.
