Woman robbed near supermarket

By Aaron Humes: A Belize City woman was the target of an unscrupulous robbery this weekend.

According to police, a 45-year-old woman reported that whilst standing in front of Public’s Supermarket on Central American Boulevard, a dark-skinned man on a bicycle dressed in a grey and white striped shirt and dark 3/4 pants approached her and demanded her to hand over her belongings, threatening he would kill her.

The woman gave up a black LG brand cell phone with calling number 623-6696 valued at $200 and $21 cash. The man then rode off east on Ebony Street and escaped.

Police continue their investigations.
