Active cases of COVID-19 below 1,000 but three new deaths over weekend

By Aaron Humes: BELIZE CITY, Mon. Dec. 6, 2021. After a net positive weekend, the number of active COVID-19 cases is below 1,000 for the first time in months.

980 active cases remain as 144 new cases were canceled out by 246 recoveries. 132 samples are under investigation.

The daily positivity rate was a shade over 5 percent, the benchmark for control of the pandemic.

The number of hospitalizations and persons in intensive care continues to dwindle, however three new deaths were reported countrywide.
