Minister of Health hands over $3,000 to 1st Vaccination Raffle winner

“The Minister of Health and Wellness, Michel Chebat presented a certificate to the FIRST person who has won the grand prize of $3,000 from the ‘Get the Jab Belize’ vaccination raffle!” said a social media post by the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) on Monday, December 6.

Duartez’s daughter collected the prize in his name.

“Congratulations to all winners so far and remember, you can enter the raffle by heading over to your nearest vaccination site and receiving your vaccine or booster shot!” said the MOHW.

Last month the Government said it was launching the COVID-19 Vaccine Incentive Program to encourage persons to get vaccinated.

The prizes for the weekly vaccination raffle are $3,000 first prize; $1,000 second-prize; and $500 third prize. Once vaccinated, persons get a ticket to participate in the raffle.

“Getting vaccinated is the best option for us to be safer from Covid-19 and for our economy to recover. Get vaccinated in addition to an opportunity to win cash prizes,” said the MOHW.
