Belize Weather: Mix of sunshine and showers prevails

The National Meteorological Service projects sunny skies today with some cloudy spells and partly cloudy skies tonight. A few showers will occur over southern and central areas this morning, then mostly along the coast this afternoon; otherwise, activity will be isolated.

High temperatures are 85 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 89 degrees inland, and 75 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 79 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 72 degrees inland, and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds are from the east to southeast at 10 to 20 knots; sea state is choppy.

Tides will be low at 7:46 this morning and 6:49 this evening and high at 1:56 this afternoon. Sunset takes place at 5:18 this evening and the sun rises on Thursday at 6:11.

The extended outlook calls for mainly fair weather with generally isolated showers for Thursday and Thursday night.
