By Aaron Francis Humes: The University of Belize has announced its plans to return to face-to-face instruction on its campuses in 2022, during its second semester.
A notice from the national university announced today that only fully vaccinated persons may participate in instruction on campus, whether students, faculty, or staff.
Students are therefore required to submit proof of full vaccination status by December 31 and faculty and staff by December 15.
The unvaccinated will be required to submit a negative antigen test every two weeks before coming on campus.
The University calls on all to support this effort to get back to learning.
