By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Prime Minister John Briceño praised artist Shaherah Young and acquired one of her paintings.

Young’s work is on display at the House of Culture in Belize City where the Prime Minister had lunch with the Council of Churches on Wednesday.

“I thank the talented artist Shaherah Young for the opportunity to share in her work. I truly enjoyed the tour of her display currently mounted at the House of Culture,” the Prime Minister said on social media.

So, impressed was he that he acquired a piece of her work.

“I will treasure the lovely piece purchased and autographed. The energy and vibrant colours are emblematic of the vibrance we seek to return to our national economy.”
