Man remanded to prison for slapping woman’s butt, says he couldn’t resist because it was ‘delicious’

By BBN Staff: A 58-year-old man from Belize City is on remand at the Belize Central Prison following an unsolicited butt slap on a 22-year-old woman.

Byron Broaster appeared unrepresented in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today to answer to a single charge of sexual assault.

He pleaded not guilty and bail was denied to him in the first instance so he was remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until February 16, 2022.

The incident happened on Wednesday, December 8.

After slapping the complainant’s buttocks, he reportedly told her that it looked “delicious” so he had to.
