35 year old Hilberto Caliz is Saturday evening’s murder victim in San Pedro

By BBN Staff: A late evening shooting in ‘La Isla Bonita’ on Saturday has claimed the life of 35 year old Hilberto Caliz.

According to police they received information just after 5:00 pm that a person was shot in the San Pedrito area of San Pedro. Upon arrival, they observed the motionless body of a Hispanic male person lying on the left side of the street with apparent gunshot wounds to the body.

The body of the victim was identified as that of Hilberto Sajid Caliz, 35 yrs. Caliz’s body was taken to the San Pedro Polyclinic where he was pronounced dead. The body was then transported to the San Pedro morgue awaiting a Post Mortem.

Initial investigations reveal that Caliz was coming from work on his bicycle and while riding in the first street of San Pedrito Area he was chased by a Hispanic male person who fired several shots at him fatally wounding him.
