BEL said power outage in Belmopan on Saturday was to relocate distribution structure, re-tension high voltage lines.
BEL said outage started at 8:00 am and power was to be restored by 1:00 pm.
“Our team is in Belmopan today installing a distribution pole and transformer to improve the quality of power supply to the area. They are also relocating a distribution structure, re-tensioning high voltage lines and removing hazardous vegetation growing into power lines,” said BEL.
BEL said the affected areas affected were: Portion of Belmopan including Rio Grande Avenue, Sibun Street, Moho Street, Temash Street, Caracol Street, Xunantunich Street, Sarstoon Street, Lemon Street, Orange Street, Nanche Street, Mango Street, Lubaantun Street, Macal Street, Altun Ha Street, Lamani Street, Portion of Jamaica Street, Nim Li Punit Street, Baldy Beacon Street, Baldy Sibun Street, Ben’s Bluff Street, Cadena Mountain Street, Cooma Carin Street, Doyle’s Delight Street, Monday Morning Avenue, Victoria Peak Avenue, Vaca Plateau Avenue, Mount Margret Street, Mount Mossey Street, Starkey Hill Street and Canada Hill Street.
