San Pedro Pirates, Altitude play to 0-0 draw in FFB Top League

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: In an anticlimactic game after Verdes claimed the title on Wednesday, the San Pedro Pirates and Altitude played to a 0-0 draw at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in capital Belmopan in the FFB Top League today Saturday.

Altitude remain in the second position with 17 points behind Verdes who won the championship on Wednesday night with their 3-2 victory over Wagiya. Verdes who have won all their eight games so far totaled an unreachable 24 points. Altitude can only reach 20 points now.

San Pedro now have 14 points maintaining the third spot.

Garden City follow with ten points, Wagiya have five, while Caesar Ridge have one.

Garden City play Verdes on Sunday at 3:30 pm while Wagiya close against Caesar Ridge at 6:00 pm.

All games are being played at the Isidoro Beaton.

The final three games will be played next week to complete the 2021 Opening Championship which didn’t feature any playoffs this time around.
