Woman from southern Belize wins $30,000 in the Scratch and Win Lottery game

By BBN Staff: A woman from southern Belize, identified only as Thelma, won $30,000 this week by playing the Scratch and Win Lottery game.

In an interview with the media, Alex Gamero, director of the Scratch and Win said that Thelma came in with the winning ticket on Tuesday morning, noting that the timing could not be better since it’s just before Christmas. He went on to say that November and December have been “lucky months” for players, as there have been two $50,000 winners and a $10,000 winner before Thelma.

Speaking on the win itself, the woman said that she intends to have a good Christmas with her children and grandchildren, but also intends to use a portion of the money to help others in need. She won by buying a $3 Time 4 money ticket at Aunty Shop in Belize City.
