Altitude trounce Caesar Ridge 5-2, secure FFB sub championship

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Altitude FC trounced Caesar Ridge 5-1 in their final game of the 2021 FFB Top League finishing as national sub champions.

Goals came early in the match played at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan on Sunday.

Adrian Gutierrez opened the hostilities in favor of Altitude in the seventh minute, but Caesar Ridge responded immediately with a goal by Shawn Young in the ninth minute.

For a while the game was even, but then Ashley Torres put Altitude ahead 2-1 in the 28th. Gabriel Ramos followed with Altitude’s 3rd in the 32nd, and Luis ‘Baca’ Torres made it 4-1 in the 37th effectively putting the game away.

For safety, Ashley shook the net again in the 53rd completing his brace and putting Altitude ahead 5-1.

Caesar Ridge got one back in the 79th when Young converted his second of the day for the final 5-2.

Altitude totaled 20 points from ten games in the FFB Top League finishing second to Verdes who had claimed the championship two weeks ago.

For their part, Caesar Ridge was only able to muster two points throughout the entire competition finishing in last place.
