American man brutally beats woman for getting pregnant for someone else while he was in jail, victim drops charges in court

By BBN Staff: An American national accused of repeatedly assaulting his girlfriend walked out of the Belize City Magistrate’s Court a free man this week, after the victim dropped the charges.

On Monday, the victim told the court that she had gotten pregnant for another man while her boyfriend Kyle Latchman was in jail, causing him to repeatedly assault her upon release. He stood accused of choking her, slamming her to the ground, and slapping her repeatedly while she was on the ground, following a domestic dispute on Friday.

In court, the victim said that she did not want any further court action and with no complainant, the court dismissed the case for want of prosecution and Latchman was free to leave.
