Read & Feed Belize shares with children, elderly in Orange Walk

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Read & Feed Belize held a fun afternoon for needy children and elderly persons in Carmelita, Orange Walk on December 17, says Read & Feed Belize founder Ash Reynolds.

“Our recent event provided children with an afternoon filled with education, games, fitness, giveaways, and fun,” said Reynolds.

“Each child received at least 3 books, a stuffed toy, a clothing item, a grocery bag (rice, beans, flour, sugar, cooking oil, peanut butter), mask, sanitizer, and their very own Bible.

Each child also received a plate of food during the event. Additionally, each child received apples, cupcakes, chips, powder buns, and juice for snack.

“We faithfully serve 57 children and 12 elderly,” said Reynolds.

On a monthly basis, Read & Feed Belize reaches out to the children and the elderly providing them with grocery bags.

Reynolds said Read & Feed Belize is seeking assistance to continue serving the children and elderly.

“Some places that have assisted Read & Feed Belize to help the children are Tropic Rice Belize, 123 Supermarket, Caribbean Chicken, La Popular Bakery, churches in the United States, and staff members from La Vie Counseling Center,” she said.

“Read & Feed Belize’s vision is to empower children to obtain an education, develop and grow spiritually, and prosper!” Reynolds said.
