Asian businessman ambushed and killed on his way home from morning jog along John Smith Road

By BBN Staff: Police have confirmed that the body found on the John Smith Link Road this morning was that of a murder victim.

Authorities say that 52-year-old Zi Hui He, Asian businessman of Western Paradise Village, Mile 8 on the George Price Highway, better known simply as “Faye” to the community, had left his home around 7:30 a.m. for a routine jog along the John Smith Link Road.

Upon his return he was approached by someone who fired several shots at him, hitting him to the body.

Zi Hui He was transported to the KHMH where he was pronounced dead at 10:55 a.m.

Police are investigating.

BBN also notes that many residents of the mile 8 community use the John Smith Road for exercise in the mornings and evenings, however, there are seldom police patrols along the road, something for the department to consider.
