Call center agent charged with wounding

By BBN Staff: A call center agent is out on bail after being accused of wounding a man.

He is 26-year-old Nazim Polanco of Belize City.

Polanco appeared, unrepresented, before Magistrate Khiana Gordon in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, where he pleaded not guilty to the wounding of the complainant, Edeemo Put Jr.

Polanco was offered bail in the sum of $800 plus one surety of the same amount which he met.

He is due back in court on February 16, 2022.

The alleged wounding happened on Monday, December 20.
