By Rubén Morales Iglesias: “Our hope for better days and triumph over this pandemic remains,” said Special Envoy for the Development of Families and Children Rossana Briceño in her Christmas Message posted on social media.
“It is that time of the year when Christians across the world celebrate the birth of our savior,” said Briceño.
“As Christians, we celebrate with gift-giving and our children take center focus.”
She noted that as families we look for toys for our children and as a community, we lookout for children from less fortunate families.
Her message then dwells on the pandemic but says that not even that daunts us.
“Our spirit of giving and remembering the less fortunate among us remain evidently visible,” she wrote.
She then prays that the “power of healing and comfort of our Lord be with our families, loved ones, or anyone sick and struggling at this time.
“From our staff at the Office of the Special Envoy for Children and Families, I send love and our best wishes for 2022,” said Briceño.
“Our hope for better days and triumph over this pandemic remains and we have faith that the life-saving power and healing of our Lord and Saviour will be with us all as we look to the New Year 2022,” closed the Special Envoy’s message.
