Belize Weather: Fair weather prevails but showers on the way

The National Meteorological Service forecasts a slight increase in moisture over our area in the next 24 hours.

Skies today will be sunny with some cloudy spells and cloudy at times tonight. Showers will be isolated except for the north today and northern and coastal areas tonight as well as isolated thunderstorms.

High temperatures today are 85 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 87 degrees inland and 76 degrees in the hills. Tonight temperatures fall to 77 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 71 degrees inland and 64 degrees in the hills.

Winds are from the east to southeast at 5 to 15 knots and sea state is light chop to choppy.

Tides are low at 10:11 this morning and 11:07 this evening and high at 4:22 this afternoon. Sunset is at 5:26 this evening and sunrise on Tuesday is at 6:21.

Expect a few showers over northern districts on Tuesday morning, isolated elsewhere.
