Saint Vincent and the Grenadines becomes first country in the Caribbean to authorizes Cuban COVID-19 vaccines

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has authorized one of Cuba’s COVID-19 vaccines according to Today-in-24.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines becomes the first Caribbean Community (CARICOM) country that will be using the Cuban COVID-19 vaccine, Abdala.

According to the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) in Havana which manufactures Abdala, the vaccine is 92% effective against COVID-19.

The Abdala vaccine is given in three doses at two-week intervals.
