Shyne welcomes Kanye West; discusses transforming Belize “like never before”

Posted: Thursday, December 30, 2021. 7:56 pm CST.

By Aaron Humes: Kanye West name-dropped Moses “Shyne” Barrow by name in his short Instagram post which we reported on earlier.

As it turns out, the pair share much in common – musical and genius and political aspirations (Shyne is former Leader of the Opposition and parliamentarian; West made a run for President of the United States in 2020). They are also interested in contributing to Belize’s national development.

In his Facebook post Barrow explained, “We’ve been talking for the last few months through our mutual brother Steven Victor about Belize investments and real estate development. Everyone knows how much I do my best to market and promote Belize on the world stage so I can bring tourism and investment to our paradise.”

So, with the help of James Prince, the hip-hop mogul and CEO of Rap-a-lot Records and Steven Victor, founder and CEO of Victor Victor Worldwide, COO of GOOD Music, and SVP of A&R at Universal Music Group, plans are underway, in Shyne’s words, “to transform Belize like never before.”

Barrow praised West as “the creative genius of geniuses and I’m beyond grateful that we were able to stand in the heavenly Belizean Ocean and talk about how he will use his genius to contribute to the development of Belize like never before.”

“So happy to welcome my brother Kanye West to BELIZE!” Barrow concluded.
