By BBN Staff: An argument between a brother and sister on Boxing Day escalated to the point where the sister ended injuring her brother and smashing the windshield of his vehicle.

La Democracia Village resident, Devona Reyes was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, answering to a charge of wounding and another for damage to property.

In court, she pleaded not guilty and was offered bail in the sum of $1,500 under the conditions that she cannot interact with any of the witnesses in the case and that she stay a minimum of 100 yards away from her brother, Mark Neal. She is to return to court in February of 2022.

Neal told police that when the two met up on Boxing Day, Reyes started an argument with him because she claims he never comes to visit her. That argument escalated to the point where she attacked him and smashed his windshield, valued at $700.
