Bicyclist killed in collision with motorcyclists on highway

By Aaron Humes: A Toledo District man was killed hours before the New Year after a run-in with motorcyclists on the way to Punta Gorda Town.

According to police, Henry Coy of San Felipe village, Toledo District, was riding a motorcycle along with Efrain Sho of Eldredgeville, headed toward Punta Gorda Town, when he apparently lost control and collided with Luis Ba of San Marcos, Toledo, who was on a bicycle.

All three men were taken to Punta Gorda Town Hospital where Ba died while Coy and Sho were treated and remained in stable condition.

Coy was suspected to be intoxicated and a blood sample was drawn from him. Police investigations continue.
