Goran Gabourel wins the 31st Krem New Year’s Day Men’s Junior Cycling Classic on Saturday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Goran Gabourel won the 31st Krem New Year’s Day Men’s Junior/Youth Cycling Classic on Saturday.

Riding for the C-Ray D Banner Cycling Team, Gabourel hit the pedal at the end over the Belcan Bridge to beat G-Flow Cayo Cargo’s Renan Codd in a sprint finish. Codd had raked the station prizes in the 52-mile race from Orange Walk to Belize City but succumbed at the end to Gabourel.

Both Gabourel and Codd are moving up to the Elite category next year.
