By Aaron Humes: On Friday afternoon there was a double robbery at a Chinese shop in Belize City.
Proprietor of Guan Fa Shop on Albert Hoy Street, Belama, Tiejian Tan, 58, reported that at about 12:40 p.m., while at his establishment two men entered, one of whom pulled out a firearm, and demanded money.
The robbers stole an undisclosed amount of cash from behind Tan’s counter. Nicholas Melara, a customer purchasing at the time was also robbed of $260 cash and a Samsung Galaxy S9 valued at $600.
The robbers then escaped on a motorcycle. Police are investigating.
