5K for Unity in Christ race scheduled for Saturday, January 22

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: A 5K for Unity in Christ race has been scheduled for Saturday, January 22.

The race will start at 6:00 in the morning at the Marion Jones Sports Complex from where it will head to the Baron Bliss Lighthouse and back. Registration will be from 5:15 to 5:45 a.m. on race day.

The 5K for Unity in Christ race is open to athletes of “all ages and athletic abilities”.

According to the flier promoting the race “a special Mass for the participants will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer Cathedral on the preceding Thursday, January 20, 2022,” the Feast of Saint Sebastian, patron saint of athletes. The Mass starts at 5:30 p.m.
