By Rubén Morales Iglesias: “A cool north to northwesterly airflow prevails,” said the National Meteorological Service of Belize (NMSB) in its 12:00 pm (midday) report.
As the NMSB said on Monday, the cold front stalled “across central Cuba with a shear line that extended to near southern Belize” and “supported a light north to northwesterly surface flow”.
However, the NMSB said moisture is going to gradually decrease “during the next 24 to 48 hours as the front continues to dissipate east of the area”.
As a result, the NMSB only expects light to moderate rain along with isolated showers on Tuesday afternoon and into the night mainly over northern and southern areas. But that activity is expected to decrease. Tomorrow morning, we should expect cloudy spells with light rain or isolated showers.
Temperatures tonight will drop to 70 °F on the coast, 65 °F inland, and 59 °F in the mountains.
The NMSB said that for Wednesday afternoon up to midday on Thursday, the outlook calls for fair weather with only isolated showers.
